Laurie Flores

Laurie Flores is the Director of Outreach and Technology at HEAR Wisconsin and also leads outreach efforts for our hearing healthcare center. Besides the day-to-day operations of the retail space, Laurie provides training to individuals with hearing loss and assists them with their communication needs.

Outreach gives her the opportunity to represent HEAR Wisconsin’s mission at many resource and health fairs, conventions, senior living facilities, or wherever there is a need for hearing and communication services.

Abigail Lo

Abigail is an Assistive Technology Center Associate. Abigail is from Milwaukee and has a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language. She is well versed in the technology offered and provides training to hard of hearing and d/Deaf customers. Abigail understands the unique needs of each individual and has served customers with different types of hearing loss and ranging in age from four to 103-years old.

As new technology becomes available, Abigail is able to learn the ins and outs of it in order to provide customers with the best technology to meet their needs. Abigail is very passionate about her work and providing equal access for all who walk into the Assistive Technology Center.

Our center has a wide array of assistive technology devices such as caption phones, amplified phones, bed alarm shakers, visual fire alarm systems, and more to help people of all ages and all degrees of hearing loss. Our technology experts provide free consultation to determine best technology solutions for use in the home, work or in social environments.

Telecommunication Equipment Purchase Program (TEPP)

For over 25 years, HEAR Wisconsin has assisted individuals who are Deaf, blind, low vision, hard of hearing, or have a speech or physical disability utilize Wisconsin's Telecommunication Equipment Purchase Program (TEPP).

TEPP helps Wisconsin residents cover the cost of specialized equipment needed for basic telephone services, such as iPhones, Samsung Droids, iPads, captioned phones, sound alert devices, and amplified phones.

*Program is not income based.

All product descriptions indicate whether or not they are approved under the Wisconsin TEPP program** or not. The abbreviations correspond to the disability categories under which the item is approved.
