Adult Day Services UPDATEs
Ruth Stuhr, Program Coordinator for HEAR Wisconsin’s Adult Day Services, has been working closely with a new adult participant who is a refugee from the Congo. Ruth supports her by teaching ASL, written English, and basic job skills. She has proven to be a quick learner and especially enjoys community outings and spending time with the Deaf group.
Earlier this year, the Adult Day Services group took a creative field trip to make leather keychains and bracelets at Tandy Leather. In March, they’re looking forward to another outing—this time enjoying some friendly mini-golf at Big Putts and spending more time together outside the classroom.
